Sheila Mwanyigha

Sheila Mwanyigha is an accomplished Media Professional with more than 15 years of experience in radio, television and print, as well as an award-winning performing artist. Sheila holds an MA in Medical Sociology from the University of Nairobi, and is a published scholar in the International Journal of Social Sciences.

Sheila is a highly skilled and trained, media communicator and digital content creator, who speaks English, Kiswahili and German. She has undergone radio programming training in the UK and South Africa, programmed, managed and led an English-speaking radio station (Easy FM) to peak position, whilst consistently ranking amongst the top of Kenya’s favorite radio presenters throughout her on-air career.

Sheila served as the television host of Tusker Project Fame, a live African music reality show for five years to audiences in six East African countries and has been on air on several pan-African shows. She also worked on popular morning breakfast show AMLive on NTV as a host and producer.

She is well trained and seasoned in leadership, management and communication, and is certified by the University of Missouri School of Journalism. At the Nation Media Group she was acknowledged as the social impact champion, by mobilizing the Easy FM radio station in raising funds that paid the hospital fees for 75 mothers at the Pumwani Hospital. Sheila continues to train and provide media solutions for personnel including C-suite professionals, embassies and local corporations on media, social media and communication.
